MARKETING 101


 Starbucks Corporation is an American multinational chain of coffeehouses that is famous for its wider variety of coffee experiences. 

It is also famous for the "mistake" it makes of writing the wrong spelling of your name on the cup and pronouncing it out loud.

If you have already known this then you are a genius but if not let me tell you, IT IS NOT A MISTAKE, IT IS MARKETING.

Think of it. Why always and for everyone the same mistake again and again? 

The reason behind this is a superb marketing strategy that became a strategy and was not even implemented by Starbucks at first.

this is how it goes:-

Step 1: A Starbucks employee misspells the customer's name.

Step 2: The consumer is irritated/surprised/delighted and complains about it on social media.

Step 3: The customer's social media followers unconsciously select Starbucks for a coffee or hangout (since they've recently been exposed to the brand name. also, sometimes they want to see what their name can be misspelled with)

Step 4: Repetition of steps 1–3.

This is how they currently have more than 27,000 posts on Instagram under the name of #Starbucksnamefail. 

AND THAT'S SOME FREE MARKETING.

STARBUCKS implements another fascinating strategy

No employee is allowed to wear any kind of perfume or deodorants which can destroy the smell of coffee beans.

Starbucks wants the smell of coffee from the coffee house to attract the passing customers to have a cup of coffee by which it can convert its potential customers into profitable ones.
